Ultra modern, high performance
ceramic hotplates
Lift
the stainless steel polished lids and you are presented
with a unique black ceramic, high tech hot plate
that provides the ultimate combination of performance,
practicality and stunning design. Beneath the large area
of smooth, durable ceramic glass are two sets of concentrically
expanding elements, which can be set to the required
coverage and then regulated to the desired temperature
setting. With both sides set to maximum area you
can boil up to six large pans or conversely, set to minimum
area you can economically heat just one small pan.
Heat up times are reaching maximum temperature
from cold in just four seconds. A hot plate kettle, for
example, will boil as quickly as its electric counterpart.
In addition to their good looks, the hot plates are also
practical and hygienic, allowing even major spills
to be cleaned up with minimum fuss.
True range cooking with the added control
and the flexibility of a power grill
The electric ESSE,
like its oil and gas stable mates, has incredible insulating
properties, making it as economical and efficient as
any modern electric oven. Indeed once up to temperature
it will retain valuable heat much more effectively.
In addition to this, the ovens also provide a greater
degree of control & flexibility than conventional
range cookers. Both of the thermostatically controlled
ovens are independently operated and can be set to exactly
the required temperature. The main oven also incorporates
a powerful grill (a first for an ESSE cooker) providing
all round cooking flexibility. Both ovens, grill and
hotplates are operated from a conveniently and safely
positioned control panel on the cooker top.

the choice is yours. If you choose to partner it with

Glass-ceramic four ring cooktop
The smooth
black glass-ceramic cooktop which covers the entire
top surface of the ‘Plus 2’ conceals a
classic four ring configuration of high-speed radiant
heating elements, two large and two medium sized. In
itself the ‘Plus 2’ offers generous pan
handling capability with the option to ‘overlap
pans’. Add this to ESSE’s trademark dog-bone
hotplate and you could, if required, boil / simmer
up to ten pans simultaneously. When not in use the
cooktop doubles as a useful and hygienic work surface.
Innovative touch controls
The ovens, grill and hob functions are
controlled by sensors marked on the glass-ceramic surface
and are activated simply by touching them. This gives
the ‘Plus 2’ clean lines and smooth surfaces
with no awkward or unsightly control knobs. A combination
of visual and audible indications lead you through the
operation programme which is easy to understand and safe
to use. A key lock function prevents accidental resetting

The firebox
has been specificially designed to burn 500mm logs,
length ways, which it does in spectacular fashion, providing
a splendid view of the flames through a large rectangular
glass fire door. As the heat source for the oven and
hotplates it has to be highly controllable, which it
is, thanks to simple but effective primary and secondary
air flow controls, the secondary control providing
an airwash which keeps the door glass clear.
