The Dragon is a superb example of Victorian
ornamental design and a stunning testament to the design
skills of ESSE craftsmen from that era.
Suitable for larger dwellings requiring higher outputs,
the Dragon will have you searching for the log pile,
just like we did when creating the beautifully detailed
ceramic Oak log set. The result... a superb flame pattern
and logs that glow with an uncanny realism, even with
the stove on its lowest setting. Because the burner is
sealed inside a glass fronted box, the double doors can
be opened during operation to provide an unrestricted
view of the remarkable fuel effect.
The Dragon is fitted with our Auto Remote Control System
(ARCS). The system can be programmed to turn the stove
on and off twice in a 24 hour period. It will also automatically
monitor the room temperature and send instructions to
the stove to modulate the burner and maintain your preferred,
pre- set room temperature. The stove pilot light is designed
to be left on constantly and ARCS is battery operated
so no mains power is required. The Dragon can of course
be manually operated and regulated if required.
The balanced flue system uses a 6" coaxial flue pipe
which draws in combustion air through its outer section,
whilst exhaust gasses are vented out through the inner
section. The benefits of a balanced flue system are ease
of installation (no chimney lining or additional room
vents to install) and significantly improved efficiency.
It is also possible to vent straight out through an outside
wall from the back of the stove.
Note: The maximum flue run is 30’ with one 90° bend.
Additional bends will reduce the run by the following
factors: 90° - 3' and 45° - 1.5
