There are many fire surrounds on the market that are only suitable for gas or electric inset fires. Suitable surrounds for solid fuel inset appliances are usually cut in 3 sections and slabbed.

The clearance distances to combustible material for the Inset 5 are:
315mm from the side of the stove and 460mm from the top.
This equates to : 1050mm from the floor and 569mm either side of the centreline of
the stove.
