Wanders Balanced Flue Systems
The Wanders Range of balanced Flue Stoves open a huge range of installation possibilities. The stove can be sited almost anywhere in the home (subject to current building regulations), whether you have a chimney or not. The flue system can be routed around your home to exit either through an exterior wall or through the roof. The flexibility of this system places few restrictions on the path and length of the flue pipe, meaning the stove does not have to sited against an exterior wall to operate correctly.
The closed combustion system (balanced flue) was developed for newly built, insulated houses that have a mechanical exhaust system. The oxygen needed for combustion is sucked in from the outside by means of a double walled pipe, through which the exhaust gasses are emitted out at the same time. This tube can be fitted horizontally through an outside wall as well as through the roof. In case a chimney is available, the fireplace can be connected to it, by means of a flexible pipe.
