Sideros Stoves

sideros_stoves_ukSideros Stove Range

Sideros

Sideros is one of the most prominent Italian manufacturers. It has 130 employees, pressing their own steel and applying both painted and enamelled finishings in house, they also have their own well equipped Research and Development department. Already exporting to over 40 countries they produce 25,000 - 30,000 stoves each year.

Pellet Stoves

Fuel prices are always changing and it is difficult to predict what will happen in the future. At present wood pellets are cheaper than many fossil fuels and as a renewable source of fuel will not be subject to future eco taxes such as the climate change levy. Money spent on a fossil fuel is of little value to local, rural economies with the great majority of revenue going to remote multinationals and their shareholders. But buying locally produced wood pellets keeps money in local economies ensuring that they can prosper sustainably.

As the pellets are compressed, they take up less room than other forms of wood fuel. Their uniform shape allows them to flow making the automation of fuel handling easy and typically the cost of the boiler less than wood chip and log burning systems.

Sideros Stoves
Sideros is one of the most prominent Italian manufacturers. It has 130 employees, pressing their own steel and applying both painted and enamelled finishings in house, they also have their own well equipped Research and Development department. Already exporting to over 40 countries they produce 25,000 - 30,000 stoves each year.

Foco Stoves
Foco is a brand of Sideros developed especially for the higher end of the market, in much the same way as Toyota did with Lexus. It only supplies stoves of higher value with more distinctive characteristics.

Pellet Stoves
You will be aware that this market is the next growth area for us all in the stove business. We have deliberately chosen to enter the market at this stage so that we can all climb the learning curve together. Sideros are manufacturing their own units with designs that are proven and well developed. There will be additional, exciting products next year, including the ability to provide domestic hot water.

Contemporary Stoves
With the rapid expansion of this end of the market, several manufacturers are investing in new products; as we know Jøtul even decided to buy Scan, which was a significant move. The FOCO stoves compete at the higher end of the market using a combination of quality Ceramic and Stone. I am sure you will agree that stoves such as the ‘FOCO 75’ have a real presence and offer something more than the ordinary steel stove, introducing the idea that a stove can also be a piece of furniture.

Ceramic Stoves
Both the ‘Comfort’ and the ‘Jolie’ have vertical fireboxes, in common with most high efficiency stoves. Although this is not standard UK format, we believe that we should be promoting stove efficiency as part of our product offering, moving away from the typical ‘black box’. These stoves should assist us to achieve that goal with our customers.

Utility Stoves
We are constantly being asked for stoves that fit into the domestic scene rather better than a Relax stove, whilst not being highly priced. Over time we will seek to add a boiler to the ‘644’ for domestic hot water

Range Cookers
Using solid fuel, these stoves will be a realistically priced alternative to those manufacturers that have positioned themselves out of the reach of many people.
