With its “cubist” flame-box view, and highly distinctive cylindrical pillar design, this really is an exceptionally eye-catching stove, even for an ESSE. And you can choose whether you prefer the pillared legs in black, to match the stove body, or in contrasting stainless steel.
In terms of heating performance, the 225 definitely won’t disappoint you – delivering an impressive 8.5kW, with exceptional energy-efficiency. And because of that hefty output, installation – with either a top or rear flue – requires an external air-kit or additional room vent.
Clean-burning comes as standard with ESSE; but what you burn is up to you – thanks to a cleverly designed twin position grate, for wood or mineral fuel. DEFRA Exempt making it suitable for use in smoke control areas as set out by DEFRA.
